DCV are working on Saturday and Sunday at the Goathorn Peninsula, Purbeck. We will be joined on Saturday by members of Association Orchis, the French conservation group with whom we are twinned and who we exchange with twice a year. This is an interesting site made more interesting on this occasion by our working with the Orchis members. On Saturday evening we will attend Church Knowle village hall for a meal expertly prepared by some of our ladies and after the meal a dance teacher will show us a few dance moves! In order to properly cater we do need to know how many?members will attend the meal on Saturday evening.?There is a charge of ?5 per head plus bring a bottle for the meal and entertainment?but do please come and join in the fun?either during the day,?evening?or ideally both. We are planning to eat at 6.45pm. ?Please let?me or Helen know by 8th September that you will be joining us for the meal on Saturday evening.?????? We look forward to hearing. Lynda is very kindly providing the basics for the BBQ but please bring a dish sweet or savoury to share (as per AGM, etc.) and something to drink. If you will be coming to the BBQ, etc. Please confirm by Email by Friday 8pm so we know numbers. If you need any more info please Email. Task itself will be a mixture of pond work and the usual Tyneham activities. Coordinator. The work at Symondsbury is dependant on reasonably dry weather so depending on the forecast we may swap the days around and go to Ryewater on Saturday and Symondsbury on the Sunday. Hopefully we will confirm any change by Thursday. Regards, Richard Meatyard. The technical process of stringing up wire in the rain is not much fun and with the trees still in full leaf and wind forecast to gust to >30 MPH the risks of a tree falling or shedding a branch are significant.
