Subject: JeremyThomas talk Sat March 23rd Butterflies, Ants and Parasitoids

This is just to let you know/remind you that Professor Jeremy Thomas will be
giving an illustrated talk on Butterflies, Ants and Parasitoids to the
Dorset branch of Butterfly Conservation at Puddletown Village Hall next
Saturday afternoon, March 23rd - see http://www.dorsetbutterflies.com/ for
further information. Jeremy is an inspirational speaker, the driving force
behind the UK Large Blue reintroduction project, and the author of (among
other titles) 'Butterflies of Britain and Ireland' (British Wildlife
Publishing), probably the best work on British butterflies available. Don't
miss this opportunity to hear him. The afternoon will begin with a short AGM
followed by tea and the talk at 3.15pm. Everyone is welcome, members and
non-members. Please forward this to anyone in your contacts who might be
interested.

We are also hoping to complete the work on the fenceline at Lankham Bottom
on Friday 22nd and would appreciate extra help with the removal of the
existing wire and the cutting back of the hedge and burning the brash - this
will depend on the weather but could you let me know if you are available.

Best wishes
Nigel
